Communicating with Teens– How, What and When?

Target Audience:  Middle School and High School parents

Learn how we currently talk to our teens and tweens – are we a helicopter, drill sergeant or a consultant?

How do our behaviors affect our ability to communicate with them?

What do we actually communicate when we are interacting with our teens – competence or incompetence?

Are we being helpful or interfering?

When – when are the best times to communicate with our teens?

When can we up the odds that our efforts will really be heard and understood?

When can we arrange for their brains to be ready to listen to us?

Mary will incorporate age appropriate examples depending on the audience.
