Comments about Mary's Lectures...
Dear Mary,
Loved your session about teen parenting at Lynbrook High School. This session has been one of the best parent education sessions we have had. Our parents loved the practical advice which you gave. In fact, the room we booked was full and we had to move the venue to accommodate more parents. All the parents are waiting for your next class. We want you to come again and talk to us about more parenting skills. Today’s generation is so different with a totally different lifestyle. We need your experience.
Thank you for an awesome session.

Dear Mary, I wanted to let you know how very much I enjoyed your presentation to the parents at our school.
You are able to help me see my shortcomings as a parent, to offer understanding of my bad habits, but best of all you show me how to act and react differently with my children. I am not new to the ideas of Love and Logic®, but I find that I needed your reminders. Especially now that my kids are teens and the arguments are all different. I sometimes find myself nodding off in these evening presentations because I am so tired at the end of the day, but your humor kept me laughing and I actually felt more energized as I left the presentation. I can’t thank you enough for sharing your insights with us. I am really enjoying my time, with my kids again and they feel so much more respected by me now that I have stopped the nagging. I started the idea of playing games again, but now they come to me asking if I have time to play with them!" ~Sincerely, Karen S., Saratoga HS PTSO |
"Mary Eschen gave an informative talk on Parenting with Love & Logic to Stanford staff in April of 2017. This talk was co-sponsored by the Faculty Staff Help Center as well as Work Life Office. Mary's talk was informative, interactive, as well as effective in sharing tools that parents could use immediately with their children. The audience found Mary to be an empathic and warm speaker and she received lot of positive feedback."
- Vinutha M. Program Manager, Stanford Faculty Staff Help Center
"Mary’s talk drew a large audience of over 200 parents to our event. She is a fun speaker to listen to. Her slides gave the talk a good structure and visual overview. Mary builds up a good connection to her audience and comes across as a professional, kind and caring speaker." ~Andrea A., Los Gatos Parenting Continuum |
"Our elementary school PTA invited Mary to talk at one of our parent education nights. It was very intimate,
interactive and entertaining. She tapped into the issues every parent could relate on the daily basis. The guidelines
were simple and practical. Everyone left with some tips and tricks they could start using on their kids immediately!"

“I've attended Mary's Love and Logic® Parenting class and found it very useful in dealing with day-to-day parenting challenges. Her guidelines are simple and yet practical. She has many examples and stories to share for any applications. I also attended her lecture offered to our school district. Her presentation taps into the same "Love and Logic®" fundamentals while being quite entertaining. She's been a wonderful resource to me and all her former students as we get together every once in a while to brush up our parenting skills.“ ~ Shay B., Redwood Middle School PTA |
"Mary's Parenting the Love and Logic Way® has helped me effectively support and encourage my children with firm boundaries and lots of love, and to also feel empowered as a parent. The parenting tips translate into so many other aspects of my life as a daughter, wife, friend... It teaches you to be in control of your life without being controlling! Mary takes you on a journey that is at once logical, methodical, participatory, rational and humorous!!! You couldn't ask for more! It's the best gift I gave to myself! Her lectures and classes redefine parenting rules of engagement, setting up an amazing win-win for both parent and child when followed properly with humor, compassion, and firmness. ~R.
